Xiaomi’s new low cost segment smart phone Redmi 3S launched in India right after Mi Max. The basic version costs Rs.6999 while Redmi 3S Prime with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage at Rs.8999. Both models will be initially available exclusively on Mi.com and Flipkart. Initially Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime will go on sale from 9th August and the Redmi 3S model will be available a week later. Redmi 3S comes with full metal body with 5” IPS display (720X1280) and big 4100 mAh battery. Redmi 3 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 and powered by Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. As per look and fell it’s exactly like the Redmi Note 3.
Redmi 3S comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and 2GB RAM but no fingerprint sensor included. The Prime version equipped with fingerprint sensor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Both has 13MP primary and 5MP front camera and hybrid SIM card slot, nano SIM + micro SIM, or micro SIM + microSD card.
Unlike Redmi 3 Note, this low-cost models are available in 3 colors, Dark Grey, Silver and Gold. I’m not quite sure that people will choose Redmi 3S Prime at a price tag of Rs.8999 as Redmi 3 Note with better specification available at Rs.9999.
